5 tips for using a torque screwdriver

1.   Setting the torque

5.   Regular recalibration

Regular recalibration with a torque tester (sometimes called a torque analyser) is important to maintain your torque screwdrivers and ensure they retain their integrity. This machine is attached to the head of the screwdriver and measures its current turning power to see if it is functioning at optimal levels.

The analyser operates by measuring the output signal from the transducer and then translating that into a torque value which indicates the rotational force the torque screwdriver can output both clockwise and anti-clockwise.

You should use the torque tester at least once a year to keep your tool operating at optimal levels.
